ORGANIC COMBED COTTON
All KAINO Cotton Knits are made of Organic Combed Cotton yarns. The Fibre in Combed Cotton is long and its quality is superior to average cotton. Our Organic Combed Cotton yarns comes from Germany, factory of Gebrueder Otto. Organic Combed Cotton is grown in India and Turkey. KAINO Organic Combed Cotton yarns has following certifications:
GOTS
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognised as the world's leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well. All chemical inputs such as dyestuffs and auxiliaries used must meet certain environmental and toxicological criteria. The choice of accessories is limited in accordance with ecological aspects as well. A functional waste water treatment plant is mandatory for any wet-processing unit involved and all processors must comply with social criteria.

OEKO-TEX® STeP
The objective of STeP (Sustainable Textile Production) certification is the permanent implementation of environmentally friendly production processes, optimum health and safety and socially acceptable working conditions. All KAINO Merino wool products are knitted of a high quality and soft Merino wool yarn. The fibre in Merino wool is very long, thin and soft, and it doesn't itch.
